At Body Bar Spa, we strive to bring you the best opportunities for personal and physical balance. In addition to our regularly scheduled spa-rties, we continue to offer Pilates Mat Classes and now Sunday morning Vinyasa Yoga class.
MOLLYOGA
Unwind in an intimate flow class that incorporates music and aromatherapy. Open to all levels, this 60-minute journey is taught in the style of Vinyasa yoga with attention to alignment that builds strength and flexibility. Modifications are given allowing students to choose to go deeper in a pose or back off and listen to their bodies. Limited to five students, the semiprivate nature of the class allows for more one-on-one instruction, requests for student's individual needs, plus pose-enhancing, hands-on adjustments.

Silver Lake’s notorious hipsterati vibe has been channeled into its first pampering locale, Body Bar Urban Spa, founded by five women who met through their aesthetician, René Rutledge, now the location’s spa director. Seven treatment rooms and a waxing salon are arranged to keep the party traffic flowing and can accommodate events like art openings (with the spa doubling as a gallery that rotates installations every several weeks) and tea tastings. Kara Wily has taught the Pilates Method for fourteen years. She relocated to Los Angeles in 2000 from New York City. During her time in New York, Kara was on scholarship at the Alvin Ailey School of American Dance, performed at City Center during the Alvin Ailey Company’s winter season, and attended Columbia University for Post Baccalaureate Studies. Prior to her experience in New York City, Kara directed the Pilates Program at Performing Arts School Vienna in Austria. She taught Pilates lessons to performing arts students and gave classes in anatomy. She was also cast in the musical, Cabaret, performed at the Museum Quartier.
Kara works from the fundamental principle that a human body possesses great potential. Her goal is to help people access their physical potential in a systematic, educational, and safe way. -
